MINISTRY AND GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
TERESA W... AND JON Y...
Observing Lent isn’t about a denomination, or whether your church is liturgical or not. It’s a time to practice saying “no” to ourselves in little things so we can say a bigger “yes” to God in the bigger decisions of life. But don’t forget the end of the story. Don’t ever get so engrossed in the reminders of deprivation during Lent that you forget that tears are temporary and the end of the story is joy eternal.
91.3 HOPE FM is a ministry to our community, and once a year they ask for our help. Their annual Sharathon is March 15-19. They will begin with a day of praise & prayer, then four days of a telethon-style fundraiser. They need prayer partners before and during this week, volunteers who can answer phones and put pledge information into a computer, meals donated for volunteers, and of course donors to call in support. Find out more at whif.org or facebook.com/hopefm or call 325-3334.
