MINISTRY AND GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES
HAPPY BIRTHDAY

TERESA W... AND JON Y...

Observing Lent isn’t about a denomination, or whether your church is liturgical or not. It’s a time to practice saying “no” to ourselves in little things so we can say a bigger “yes” to God in the bigger decisions of life.  But don’t forget the end of the story. Don’t ever get so engrossed in the reminders of deprivation during Lent that you forget that tears are temporary and the end of the story is joy eternal.

91.3 Hope fm91.3 HOPE FM is a ministry to our community, and once a year they ask for our help.  Their annual Sharathon is March 15-19. They will begin with a day of praise & prayer, then four days of a telethon-style fundraiser. They need prayer partners before and during this week, volunteers who can answer phones and put pledge information into a computer, meals donated for volunteers, and of course donors to call in support.  Find out more at whif.org or facebook.com/hopefm or call 325-3334.

BUCKETS OF HOPE: Several churches from the St. Johns River Baptist Association have filled over 240 white buckets for the ‘Buckets of Hope’ Haiti relief effort. The Association is asking that all buckets be dropped off to their office early in the week of March 8.  For more information on “Buckets of Hope”, please visit www.namb.net/bucketsofhope or www.flbaptistdisaster.org

Welcome Visitors!

You are our honored guest.
It is a pleasure to have you worship with us.

We pray that you find a worshipful atmosphere, friendly people, and the inspiration of God’s truth revealed.

Please fill out the communication card in the bulletin and place it in the offering plate. Parents are welcome to use the nursery.

At the close of each service our pastor extends an invitation. At that time, if you have any needs, walk forward and make your request known to the pastor.

History:
Hillcrest Baptist Church was founded in 1912 as Palatka Heights Baptist Church. The present building was constructed in the 1950s and the name changed to Hillcrest at that time. The church stands strongly for scriptural doctrine on missions, and is an active member of the St. Johns River Baptist Association.
