MINISTRY AND GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES

MISSIONS OFFERING: Last week we collected $301 for our local missions. The Gideons International, HOPE FM and The Heart of Putnam will each receive $100.33. Thanks to all who who contributed.

DEACONS MEETING: The deacons will meet tonight at 5:30 just prior to the evening worship service.

MEN’S FELLOWSHIP MEETING: The men of Hillcrest will meet on Tuesday at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. All men are welcome.

BUSINESS MEETING: The monthly business meeting will be held this Wednesday at 6:30pm.

VALENTINES PARTY: The Valentines Banquet will be this Saturday evening at 6:30 in the Fellowship Hall. Maxine and Wendell are organizing a very special evening you won’t want to miss. Don’t forget to sign up so they will know how many people to expect.

CANDY GRAMS: The youth are selling candy grams for only $12. A Candy Gram consists of several candy bars, a mug and stuffed animal. Please sign up if you would like to purchase a Candy Gram for your sweetie and make a note if you would like a particular type of stuffed animal. Leave a contact number so they can arrange delivery.

BUCKETS OF HOPE: The St. Johns River Baptist Association has purchased 240 white buckets for the ‘Buckets of Hope’ Haiti relief effort. Buckets will be at the association office by Thursday, February 11 for you to pick up at no charge. The individual is responsible for the $10 transportation cost for each bucket filled. The $10 (cash only) is to be placed in a business size envelope and taped securely to the lid of the bucket. Fill the buckets with specified food items and turn in to the SJRBA Association Office. History:
Hillcrest Baptist Church was founded in 1912 as Palatka Heights Baptist Church. The present building was constructed in the 1950s and the name changed to Hillcrest at that time. The church stands strongly for scriptural doctrine on missions, and is an active member of the St. Johns River Baptist Association.
